Registration to the first JCT Chess Club Tournament is now open. If all goes well there will be a number of tournaments this year, complete with fabulous prizes.
02/09/08:
The 2008-2009 school year just started. A whole new group of students has just arrived. The chess club will be announcing its schedule shortly. The Rabbis of ESP have requested Tuesday nights for the weekly meetings. More on that will be posted once the information is available. Lots of updates have been made to the rating system so be sure to check that out.

The new rating system now supports an online Game Viewer. So start recording your games and posting them online
We now have 10 boards for the club.
The jRose Elo Score Rater is currently in beta testing. Scores will be posted online soon.
Meetings are now set for every Wednesday at 8 PM

Version 5 of the chess timer is out.
Hebrew Flyers have been put up around school.

Mr Jonathan Rose was kind enough to write a chess clock in html. the zip file can be obtained here.
21/2/08:
Set time and place for first meeting: 7:30 PM (19:30) Wed, Feb 27th in the Lau Building on the 4th floor. We don't know what room will be free, so look for the one with the chess boards set up in it.

Purchased 5 boards for the club.

Created a blog, email address, and poster for the club.
Started collecting names of people who would be interested in participating.
Collected list of websites describing what it takes to put together a chess club.
