What to Expect at a Meeting

So here you are asking yourself "Self, what is all this Chess Club business?"

Here is the deal, the actual meeting will be broken up into 3 activities. Feel free to do one or more. This chess club is about having fun so its really open to whatever chess related activities its members are interested in.

1. Play  Chess

This means that there will be a bunch of boards set up around the room (feel free to bring your own, the more the better)
Find a partner sit down and play. Before the game starts both players must agree to the terms.

Game Terms:
Timer? Timer Style?
Touch Move?
Blitz?

After the game let the Games-Score Keeper (currently me, Yonatan) know the outcome. Keeping track of our games is important so that we can see our improvements and keep an internal chess rating within our club.

2. Practice Chess Exercises

There will be lots of printed material  available on every part of the game, and all skill levels. Find a partner or group, grab a pamphlet sit down and run through the tutorial of your choice.

3. Video Lessons

The Machon Lev Chess Club has hours of chess instructions in video format. Pull up a chair and watch the show, got an iPod? Bring it and download the whole collection!

See you at the next meeting!
