Feedback

Thanks everyone for the great meeting we had last night. It went better than I could have imagined. At the start there were 24 people who came, and over 10 more people showed up over the course of the night.

Here there be pictures

First, I would like to do is set a fixed time for this club. I put up a poll on the right side of the page, please vote for which days are available to you.

Second, thanks to everyone who put money in the "Snack Fund" Jar. We raised 25.70 NIS that will go towards food and drinks for the next meeting.

Third, thanks to everyone who brought a board, we had (I think) 11 boards in total, which is great but we still had people waiting to play. we hope to buy more boards for the club, but in the meantime try and find boards to bring.

Fourth, I will be posting everyones current rating hopefully tomorrow, Games during the week can be rated games just send me an email who won and who played what. I am not sure exactly how to calculate our scores, but will be consulting google with that matter shortly.

Fifth, some people have still not officially joined the club by signing up on the site, if you haven't please do so by filling out your email address.

Sixth, if you have signed up and you haven't received any emails from the club (jct.chess@gmail.com) then most likely your spam filter is stopping it. If you are having this problem, please write to me via the "Contact Us" section of this site, I will send you an email as soon as I hear from you titled "Machon Lev Chess Club Test Email" look around for that.

Seventh, please leave feedback, post a comment on this article telling about your view of last night, what you liked, what you didn't, what worked well, what ideas you have for improvement.

Eighth, my tentative goal at the moment is to have a tournament in a month, so get yourselves ready, and play lots of rated games so we can have 2 classes, a beginners class and an advanced class, currently no one is rated high enough to play in the advanced, so get to work!

PS I will be posting a new good chess tutorial video everyday between now and next meeting on the site, and two new puzzles, one hard and one not so hard (feel free to submit one) so you have no excuse for not getting better between now and then.
